NEW YORK and KUALA LUMPUR (September 19, 2012) - Xaxis, the world's largest audience buying company, announced today the launch of operations in Malaysia. The company will work directly with GroupM Malaysia in providing regional marketers with the full suite of Xaxis audience buying solutions as well as a premium ad network offering. Arshan Saha has been tapped to lead the new office as director, Singapore and Malaysia.
Beginning today, marketers in Malaysia will be able to implement coordinated audience buying campaigns on multiple digital media channels via Xaxis' proprietary Data Management Platform (DMP). In addition to running campaigns across display, online video, social and mobile platforms from a single location, clients will be able to track and measure their results with an unparalleled degree of transparency and sophistication.
“In terms of consumer behavior and publisher capability, Malaysia is a leader in the Asia-Pacific market and a natural fit for Xaxis products as we continue our expansion in the region, " said Michel de Rijk, managing director of Xaxis APAC. "With Arshan's impeccable track record of pioneering digital media buying in APAC and working with some of the world's largest publishers, we are confident he will establish the local presence necessary to lead our Malaysian operations."
At launch, Xaxis Malaysia will be creating and selling its own proprietary media products to GroupM agencies and advertisers – starting with a premium ad network. GroupM Malaysia CEO and Mindshare managing director, Girish Menon noted, “Xaxis represents the cutting edge of online audience targeting and we are thrilled to be able to offer their products to our clients here.”
Prior to joining Xaxis, Saha served as regional director for Innity's operations in Southeast Asia, a pioneer of interactive online marketing solutions in the region. In his role, Saha established operations in Singapore, where he grew the local team and was responsible for a 300% growth over a one-year period. Previously, he managed relationships with digital publishers for the Adconion Media Group out of the UK offices.
“With the backing of our global audience buying network, Xaxis has the capability to develop fully-customized products for the Malaysian market,” said Saha. “My primary role will be to understand market dynamics and to provide the best customized solutions for our clients.”
Xaxis provides over 800 advertisers with audience buying solutions at scale, delivering over 300 billion impressions globally per year. The proprietary Xaxis DMP houses the largest collection of unique anonymous audience portraits. As the only universal and neutral data management platform in the industry, the Xaxis DMP allows advertisers to measure attribution, offline ROI, audience insights and brand impact based on the entire digital plan, not just the Xaxis portion of the plan. By year’s end, Xaxis will have offices in over 25 markets around the world.
