YOUR ROLE IN A NUTSHELL:

The client development executive is a crucial role within the team, responsible for the day-to-day guidance and sales of Xaxis’ services to agencies and clients. You are central to the success of Xaxis, demonstrating both strong technical skills and advanced sales & relationship-building prowess.

You will work collaboratively with every facet of the GroupM programmatic businesses to deliver amazing solutions to your clients and help define the roadmap for their future success. You will expertly balance client needs with the commercial lens required to help Xaxis thrive.

Client Development team, ad operations teams, GroupM agencies and their clients, commercial director, trading & investment, vendors, publisher partners

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD SPEND YOUR TIME DOING:

In order for our business to work, you will be required to spend time of certain areas of the business and make sure that your direct reports do the same. Your key responsibilities are as follows:

Product

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of key aspects of programmatic media, including (but not limited to) supply, ad tech 1st and 3rd party data, audiences, and analytics. Must be able to transfer knowledge via presentations to stakeholders in all GroupM agencies.
  • Ensure that opportunities are evaluated for feasibility prior to booking, leading the management of expectations with clients
  • Deliver pitch-quality deliverables at all times, consistently careful and methodical with a strong eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all work delivered

 

Partnership

  • Develop and execute ongoing client development plans to improve your client base qualitatively and quantitatively
  • Build strong client relationships; be the day-to-day trusted partner and contact for clients and agencies
  • Demonstrate intimate knowledge of client and agency business practices, planning methodologies, investment strategies, and challenges
  • Be able to clearly articulate the GroupM programmatic proposition, highlighting client advantages across trading, technology, brand safety, performance, data, and outcomes

 

Performance:

  • Consistently achieve agency investment forecasts for Xaxis proactively maintaining exact forecasts of activity and acting accordingly to address gaps and opportunities
  • Ensure 100% accuracy within all systems of booked, pipeline, and forecasts, including adherence to current best practice, naming conventions, and data standards
  • Proactively identify and develop opportunities to grow revenue from clients

EXPERIENCE:

Candidates will have 1-2 years’ experience working in a digital sales or campaign management role in either an agency, publisher or technology business. They will bring an understanding of digital media and the technology landscape and a genuine interest in learning and understanding more about the programmatic ecosystem; the technologies, the challenges and pitfalls; to advise clients and agencies alike. They will have a high attention to detail, strong organizational skills and strong written skills. 6 months’ experience within an equivalent programmatic role – ideal but not mandatory.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Working knowledge of excel
  • Exposure to buying platforms such as DSPs, SSPs or other similar ad tech.
  • Ability and interest in analyzing data and producing insights
  • An open, collaborative, and proactive attitude to foster relationships both within the Xaxis team and external tech and media partners alike.
