plista Names Elizabeth Harrington as Head of North America
NEW YORK (August 10, 2016) – plista, a one-stop solution for data-drivennative advertising, announced today it has named digital media executive Elizabeth Harrington as head of North America. Harrington will be responsible for driving plista growth in the U.S. and Canada following the company’s North America debut this May. Part of Xaxis, plista is the industry’s most comprehensive programmatic platform for native ads and the first to provide a single source solution for buying in-feed, outstream video, recommendation widgets and in-ad formats across both desktop and mobile inventory.
Harrington brings deep expertise in developing, launching and growing innovative digital media solutions to the new role. She joins plista from digital ad platform Local Yokel Media where she was a founding team member and served as SVP business development and publisher services. In this position, Harrington was central to the growth of the hyperlocal marketing platform, building a national publisher network from zero to more than 4,300 sites in just four years. Prior to Local Yokel she was VP, business development and strategic sales at start-up Greenopia, an independent rating system for eco-friendly businesses, where she oversaw revenue strategy and new business development.
“Elizabeth brings a deep understanding of the needs of both advertisers and publishers along with a strong track record in driving and maintaining growth for cutting edge digital media platforms,” said Matt Sweeney, CEO, North America at Xaxis. “She will play a key role in expanding the plista business in North America as we continue to advance the capabilities and performance of the native ad category.”
“We are delighted to have Elizabeth join our team at plista,” said Jana Kusick, Managing Director, plista. “As we are expanding rapidly, Elizabeth will help us build on our forward momentum and establish plista as the leading one-stop provider for native advertising in the North American market. We look forward to Elizabeth’s contribution to our future growth.”
Earlier in her career, Harrington held business development positions at companies including iVillage, JPMorgan Chase and IMG. She holds a master’s in international management from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
“plista offers brands and media owners the industry’s broadest and most effective toolkit for programmatic native advertising, with one stop access to virtually all native formats,” said Harrington. “I look forward to helping establish our comprehensive offering as the first choice for savvy marketers in the U.S. and Canada.”
